Skin Fillers

Skin fillers, also called dermal fillers, are a safe and effective way to minimize the fine lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth associated with the effects of aging. Lakeside Community Healthcare Dermatology offers several different types of skin fillers. Restylane is a safe and natural cosmetic dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. It is also used for lip augmentation.

It is made of Hyaluronic Acid, a naturally occurring sugar gel. Studies have shown that the average treatment results last six months.

JUVÉDERM™ Ultra Plus injectable gel is a colorless hyaluronic acid gel that is injected into facial tissue to smooth wrinkles and folds, especially around the nose and mouth. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar found in the human body. The role of hyaluronic acid in the skin is to deliver nutrients and hydrate the skin by holding in water and to act as a cushioning agent.

The gel temporarily adds volume to facial tissue and restores a smoother appearance to the face. Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last about six months.

Radiesse® is a safe, long lasting cosmetic dermal filler that corrects smile lines, folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, restoring a natural, youthful look in an easy, convenient treatment. It is also used to fill certain scars. The results of a Radiesse treatment are immediate and typically last a year or more.

Radiesse is made of unique calcium-based microspheres that are suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure.

CosmoDerm® and CosmoPlast®
